Client Updates
Client 1.14.0 is out. It contains background changes only, so nothing changes in how your station runs.
Site Updates
Replay for everyone, now in 3D - Whole-map replay no longer needs an account, and it plays in 3D as well as 2D, so you can switch views mid-replay. While it runs, the replay dock takes the place of the map's usual controls, with one date and quick picks for the last hour, 24 hours, 48 hours or week. It is translated into every site language.
Following flights in replay - The selected aircraft draws a trail of its last 10 minutes, and a tray above the timeline charts altitude and ground speed at the playhead. You can compare up to six flights in their own colours, gaps in the recording are skipped with a note, and catching up to the present hands you back to the live map. ACAS incidents now have a button to watch them in replay with the surrounding traffic, and on phones a smaller dock sits above the aircraft sheet.
MLAT aircraft on the map - Aircraft placed by multilateration rather than their own GPS now show for everyone, with a hover note saying why (no ADS-B, GPS jamming, possible spoofing and more), and their positions fill ADS-B gaps in flight paths in blue. The new MLAT aircraft switch in Preferences turns them off.
More detailed flight paths - Paths from the last 8 days are drawn from about ten times as many positions, with impossible jumps filtered out, so tracks follow the real route much more closely.
GPS jamming page redesign - wingbits.com/gps-jamming has a new layout with a side panel, a spoofing layer alongside jamming, and a hover card that explains each hex in plain language.
Mobile map fixes - Dragging the aircraft sheet down now minimises it instead of closing it, and sharing a flight opens your phone's share menu, keeping the replay moment in the link.
Hiding planes is remembered - Turning planes off on the map was reset on every page load. It now sticks.
Rewards and claim fixes - The Overview rewards chart shows past rewards even if you no longer have a claimed station. Host cards in the claim breakdown no longer show a Beta column, since beta rewards are never split with hosts. Beta rewards earned on a device you have since transferred are labelled with its serial, not the new owner's station name.
Device check for second-hand buyers - Buying a used device? wingbits.com/device-check tells you whether a serial is banned from the network before you pay.
Smaller fixes - The station Heartbeats table keeps its header and timestamps in view while you scroll, text that was invisible in light or dark mode now shows in both, and a handful of spelling errors are fixed.
API Updates
Annual plans reset monthly - Annual API plans now reset their request quota every calendar month. Before, they only reset at the yearly renewal.

New General Help pages - Step-by-step help for your account (sign in, email, password, two-factor authentication, recovery codes, deleting your account), your stations (linking a device, status, alerts, reservations, transfers, deleting) and using the map, plus new troubleshooting pages for HYFIX and BYOD stations.
