General

• We are implementing the next phases of hardening the network

  • Again, all devices must be reporting their current GPS coordinates to submit data and be rewarded (disconnecting the geosigner antenna once online and then moving it will no longer work).

  • Those accounts that were running 2 of their own stations in 1 location hex (from the original plan) were notified to move to a single station and enforcement started. No rewards were lost. Most already handled it themselves, so this only affected one user.

  • Stations not running in their claimed location will not earn rewards anymore.

  • Stations literally on the border of their hexes are being addressed by the dev team (those stations who's gps drift may cause them to be outside their claimed location hex during periods of the day)

  • 28 legacy plan stations reporting outside of location (you will know if you are one as you were online before March 2024) have been identified and are being also addressed to continue participation and rewards.

• Squashed a bug where some deleted stations could get an Offline email from notifications that were left on at deletion.

• Online status criteria has now evolved to be smarter understanding if a station is online or offline. This affects both the web site status shown and whether offline emails are send. Previously it was based on only the heartbeat, but that led to situations where the station was connected to our servers but not sending data (readsb offline or data connection to server failed). The new criteria for being offline involves one of the following being true:

  • no heartbeat has been sent, from the station to our server, in the last 15 minutes

  • the station's client is not connected to readsb (adsb message decoder)

  • the station's client is not connected to the server

• The offline notifications have been re-enabled (Bell icon for each station lets you toggle on/off and set notification frequencies).

• Debug Info for a station now opens in a panel so you can click a button to copy all or manually mouse over what you want and use the normal copy (ctrl-c on windows) to copy just that bit.

• The System Clock Sync has been renamed to System Clock Offset to better describe the value.

• The temporary NA bug for values has been fixed and should show the current offset as expected.
