Bring back BYOD

During the 2nd and 3rd last Discord stages, both Robin and Mike mentioned that Wingbits stations are expensive to purchase. I agree! $600, including shipping and import fees for me.

Provided that Geosigners are produced and available for $50-60 as before, I can build stations for less than $200.

I’m building stations for other projects, and they’re not providing official support to build stations for them. They just provide settings so we can provide optimal data to their network. Support is given by members of their Discord server. With the skills and dedication of a lot of members in Wingbit’s Discord, I don’t think it would be an extra workload for the team.

The benefits of bringing back BYOD would most likely be faster deployment of new stations. I would personally build and deploy 3 more stations here in Thailand upon the announcement.

I can’t see what the team is doing behind the scenes. Maybe BYOD stations are causing more problems than I know, but Hyfix stations are for sure not without issues, and are taking up a lot of resources in Discord and during stages.
