Good afternoon,
I am writing to suggest a feature enhancement for the MGW310 antenna regarding system stability and uptime optimization.
To ensure consistent data feeding and minimize manual intervention, I would like to propose the implementation of an automated reboot mechanism (Watchdog) triggered by specific performance anomalies.
Ideally, the system should be able to detect and recover from the following scenarios:
Satellite Signal Drop: An automated reboot if there is an abrupt or sustained decrease in the number of visible satellites (GNSS/GPS signal loss).
Packet Flow Interruptions: Triggering a restart if the rate of messages sent or received (ADS-B/MLAT telemetry) falls below a predefined threshold.
Network Persistence: An auto-reboot or service restart if the device detects a persistent disconnection from the Wingbits servers or the local gateway.
System Hangs: General monitoring of core processes to ensure the hardware remains responsive.
These features would be highly beneficial for hosts who operate devices in remote locations where manual power cycling is difficult.
Thank you for your continuous work on the platform. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these technical improvements.
Best regards,
