Dashboard GUI - Ideas about hosts and owners
Being both a host and owner of stations, there are a few things Iโm lacking in the current dashboard; First of all, it would be nice to be able to invite hosts to Wingbits as users, being able to log in to their account and watch the progress/status of โtheirโ station(s) - giving them a greater insight to the project, adding transparency and a greater reason to โcareโ for your hosted station - possibly even enticing them to deploy their own station(s). When adding a host wallet - instead of, or in addition to, entering the hosts wallet address, owners should be able to create an invite link so that the host user can create a new account to view that station or add that hosting station to their existing Wingbits account. The hosting user should be able to see their current cut of each hosted station (% still determined by the owner), and be able to add/change the wallet address for each station individually (to be able to use different wallets or change wallets). Currently, the rewards history does not take into account your share of a station, but assumes a 100% share. Nor does it allow you to see your rewards from hosted stations. For both hosts and owners, when looking at the dashboard rewards history, Iโd like them to be able to see both the rewards that they get and the total rewards for a station (possibly also the rewards for other hosts for that station, if there are several โhostsโ - e.g. one for location, one for technical support or whatever). All this information does not all have to be visible in one โviewโ, nor do I think it should, but Iโll leave that up to those more skilled in UI design to figure out.

Auto-start
In the event of the Station being offline, can you add a firmware feature which restarts the Station to bring it online? This would improve uptime and minimise data collection. -I suggested this to Geodnet and they accepted this and are including it in an upcoming firmware update. It would be nice great to see this in Wingbits as well.

Identify "coverage gaps" on the Wingbits map (coldmap)
If you can see areas which have the least amount of coverage, you can incentivize people to set up a station nearby. Currently, you have to click on every station individually to see what their current coverage is. Perhaps just an option to toggle more than one station at a time might be the easiest way to implement this.

Dashboard access for Hosts
As a host/non-owner of a device, they do not have access to the โdashboardโ and cannot see the new features of โaircraft tracked by stationโ vs โaircraft tracked by all stations.โ If there was a way to โshareโ or give dashboard access to a host of a station, I think that would be helpful. Iโm not sure if you plan to offer different features or benefits to those inside the dashboard vs public wingbits map, but if you did, it would definitely benefit hosts to have access to certain types of dataโฆ. mainly ones that could help them troubleshoot or improve their setups.

Multi-wallet splitting
Currently we can only add one host wallet to the dashboard. I am requesting to add more than one. For fleet deployers we will typically work with local managers who help find us new hosts; in these situations there would be a 3-way split setup. The owner, manager, and host. Additionally we might sometimes act as host locators to connect owners with hosts, in which case there could be the owner, the middle connection person, manager, and host. It would be great to have the ability to split the rewards in more than 2 portions. More the better; at least 3-ways, but preferably 5-ways. For comparison; Onocoy supports 5-way splits, Rovr supports 10-way splits.

Offline notifications for host
Currently the offline notifications only inform the owner that the station is offline, but for remote installs there is no notification for the local host. Due to timezone differences it might take a while for the owner to inform the host. I would propose changing the notification logic to email both the owner and host emails when the station goes offline.

Multiple Wallets and Revenue Splitting per Mining Location
Summary: Currently, it's not possible to assign multiple wallets to a single mining location or split revenue between different stakeholders directly at the location level. This creates difficulties in managing profit sharing with location owners and regional partners, and also complicates tax reporting when needing to separate income streams for specific locations involving third parties. Problem Description: Complex Revenue Sharing: For users with multiple miners and partnerships, there's a need to distribute mining revenue among various parties (e.g., miner owner, location owner, regional partner) based on pre-defined percentages. The current system, allowing only one wallet per location, makes this process manual and cumbersome. Taxation and Income Separation: When a location owner is involved, it's desirable to have separate wallets to clearly distinguish the miner owner's taxable income from the location owner's share. The inability to add a second wallet for the same location for this purpose is a limitation. Proposed Solution: Implement the ability to associate multiple wallets with a single mining location. For each location, allow users to: Add Multiple Wallets: Enable the creation or assignment of more than one wallet to a specific mining location. Define Percentage Splits: Allow users to specify a percentage of the mining revenue to be automatically distributed to each wallet associated with that location. The sum of these percentages for a single location must equal 100%. Use Cases: Three-Way Revenue Split: Scenario: A miner owner has a regional partner who finds locations, and there's also a location owner. Desired Outcome: For a specific mining location, create three wallets with the following revenue distribution: Wallet 1 (Miner Owner): 50% Wallet 2 (Location Owner): 25% Wallet 3 (Regional Partner): 25% Two-Way Revenue Split for Tax Purposes & Location Owner Payout: Scenario: A miner owner needs to pay a percentage of the revenue to the location owner and wants to keep their own share in a separate wallet for clear tax reporting. Desired Outcome: For a specific mining location, create two wallets: Wallet 1 (Miner Owner - Tax Location Wallet): 70% Wallet 2 (Location Owner): 30% Benefits: Simplified Revenue Management: Automates the process of splitting profits among multiple stakeholders. Improved Transparency: Clear allocation of funds for all parties involved. Easier Tax Reporting: Facilitates the separation of income for tax purposes. Scalability: Makes it easier to manage an increasing number of miners and complex partnership agreements. Potential for Quick Implementation: The user believes that allowing multiple location wallets for a single location might be a relatively straightforward feature to implement.

Better Alert System
Currently, the alert system in place only notifies you if your station is offline due to missed heartbeats. However, my station has not been working correctly for almost a month despite not missing any heartbeats. I had no idea! I presumed it was working fine since it hadnโt missed any heartbeats and I wasnโt notified via email that anything was wrong. Idea! Please add alert option to notify you when you havenโt earned any WING for a certain period of time (1h, 1d, 3d, 1w, etc). This way you know when youโre station is still putting out heartbeats but otherwise not working as it should. Bummed Iโve been offline for so long and had no idea. Super frustrating.

Today we can see the data points for a specific station (for the last 7 days) in the overview. Iโd like to have the โdata pointsโ-option expanded to the detailed station view as well, as it would be beneficiary to view longer intervals of time - as when when trying to determine if installing the Geosigner gave a ~10% hit on the rewards during the last 30 days, or even the two last weeks. Given the randomness of flights for us not close to major fight hubs, 7 days is not enough time to draw any trustworthy conclusions.

Maintenance Mode Button under Stations
Just wondering if a maintenance mode button makes sense under the stations tab. The advantage would be that it would not be sending erroneous data to the network. For example a station that you are in the process of relocating, or you are in the process of troubleshooting a device perhaps at a location other than where itโs actually set. HiveOS has a similar mode for mining rigs that you might be working on, repairing, or upgrading. I am not sure how this would actually be accomplished, perhaps shutting down vector, I donโt know. Just throwing it out there. Maybe it makes sense, maybe it doesnโt. Flaps up !

First, I find bright white screens quite uncomfortable, as they strain my eyes โ and I know Iโm not alone. Many users prefer darker themes for both comfort and accessibility. A dark mode option would be a very welcome addition. Second, Iโd really appreciate the ability to disable the WiFi access point (AP) ((toggle)) when itโs not needed. I understand if the default behavior keeps it enabled after a reboot or factory reset, but having the option to turn it off manually would greatly benefit users concerned with privacy, security, or simply reducing unnecessary network signals. Thank you for considering these suggestions. I truly believe they would enhance usability for many of us.
